How to Build Community for Women: Ending the Loneliness Pandemic

Let’s be honest, loneliness is everywhere. I see it in my friends. I see it in my colleagues. I see it in neighbors who were once so social, now tucked behind screens and routines that don’t leave room for connection.
It’s not just me noticing it. Studies call it the “loneliness pandemic,” and honestly, it feels spot on. We’ve become a generation glued to notifications and endless scrolling, but somehow, we’ve never felt more disconnected. And if you’re in design, art, architecture, or any creative field, you know that work can feel isolating too. So many of us are juggling projects, deadlines, and clients… alone. If you’ve been wondering how to build community for women in today’s world, you’re not alone. This is something so many of us crave after years of isolation.
That’s why we started Golden Hour Society. Not just to have another networking event, but to create a real community. A circle where women can gather, share ideas, laugh over a glass of wine (or an apéritif, because yes, we’re chic like that), and remind each other that we’re not doing this life alone.
It’s about time we take back what the pandemic took from us: connection, conversation, and the joy of being in a room with women who get it. Women who inspire you, support you, and want to see you win.
This is just the beginning. Our first event, Women’s Club, is a celebration of that vision. A night where we hit pause on the chaos, show up for each other, and start building the kind of community that’s been missing for far too long.
Join us for the Women’s Club inaugural event on August 27th. The future is connection. Let’s build it together.
